At Indigami the alternative education is designed and implemented in order to empower every child to develop at different levels and at an individual pace, and to ensure the full development of all children physically, socially, emotionally, morally and mentally.
Our alternative educational program is based on the need to develop children's cognitive, communication, self-regulation skills, sensory perception and motor activity.
This child-centered approach to the educational process allows the child to express him/herself, to become an active participant in the educational process, to make learning playful, lively and exciting.
Preschoolers form different social relationships with their peers - interactions that are not available in a family environment are a duplication of real-life adult relationships. They learn acceptable social behavior. Through interactions, they also develop sensitivity, empathy, and respect for the emotions, behavior and opinions of the other people, as well as for moral values and socially acceptable norms and behavior.
In a positive, safe and friendly environment, every child is encouraged to develop her/his own inclinations and personalityl traits, on the one hand, and strengthening the sense of belonging to society, on the other.
For many years, pre-school education has emphasized the social demand to give a child skills to read, write and do math at an early age before starting school, which are considered the most important skills in ensuring a child's further educational success.
We believe, that it is much easier for children to learn to read / write / count when they are psychologically and emotionally prepared, when all the components of their higher cognitive abilities are properly developed. So, before starting to teach kids to show wonders of short-term memory they need to feel comfortable to express their feelings, needs and natural inclinations, they need to feel safe, loved and respected.
This means that the child must live his/her childhood to the fullest, gradually pass all the educational stages in a child - centered, pleasant playful environment, where all aspects of the child's personality will develop equally.
